I mixed up a batch of Triple Berry Tequila Limeade yesterday, and it was like having an instant party. My brother brought one of his friends over, and both my parents and I enjoyed a glass as well. I didn't want my little guy to feel left out, so I wanted to make sure that I made the limeade without the tequila in it so he could have some. The triple berry limeade by itself was super delicious, so this recipes would be perfect for anyone who wants a refreshing drink without any alcohol.
I started off the triple berry tequila limeade by juicing 4 limes. I then made a simple syrup by combining 1 cup sugar and one cup water in a sauce pan and putting it on the stove over medium heat. Next, I took blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries (about 2 cups combined) and put them through my juicer. The juice smelled amazing and looked so pretty. I wish I had gotten a picture. If you can not find fresh blueberries, blackberries, or strawberries, I believe that Odwalla or Naked Juice berry blend would be a good substitute.
I just got the drink dispenser you see pictured and could not wait to use it! I filled the dispenser half way with ice, then added my lime juice and simple syrup. I filled the rest of the dispenser up with cold water, leaving room to add the berry juice. Then I gave the whole thing a stir and gave a taste test. Super yummy!
I grabbed some glasses, ran a piece of lime around the rim and dipped them in sugar. I then filled the glasses partially with ice and added sliced strawberries, and whole blueberries and blackberries. For the little guy, I filled the glass with the berry limeade and handed it to him with a lime slice and a straw. He was in heaven! He loved the limeade, but I think he loved licking the rim of the glass more than anything 🙂
For the adults, I prepared the glasses in the same way, only adding a shot of tequila to each one.
I can't get over how much I love this drink. I can't wait for Abe to get back from Nashville so he can try the triple berry tequila limeade too.
