One of the things I would like to do this year is to get more organized.  What better way to do that than with schedules?  It seems to always be easier and faster to get things accomplished when there is already an established routine.  Right now, pretty much everything in my life is "go with the flow."  I'm hoping to change that with a cleaning routine, a bed time routine (both for my toddler and for myself,) and a blogging routine.

To start off, I'm going to share my plan for establishing a cleaning routine.

Most of these daily cleaning activities are pretty common sense, but it still helps to be reminded. (I'm guilty of not making the bed everyday.)  I know my little boy's room will be less chaotic if we pick up the toys every night.

This weekly cleaning schedule is what is going to make the big difference in my cleaning routine.  I usually do most of these things as they are needed.  I'm hoping that by keeping to this schedule, the house will always look orderly.  One of my main cleaning issues in our bedroom is that I frequently have a lot of clean laundry to put away.  By doing a load of laundry almost everyday, I think it will be easier to fold and put the clothes away straight from the dryer.

You'll also notice that I added mopping for every other day.  If you have little kids, I'm sure you know why so much mopping is required.  It is also really dusty here in west Texas, and I hate feeling that on my bare feet.

Finally, my monthly cleaning schedule.  These will be the cleaning projects that I will do on Tuesdays.  It's amazing the difference it makes by cleaning the inside of your washing machine and dishwasher, so I definitely want to keep on top of that.

Is there anything you do on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis I left out? I always love hearing new tips.
