I have a new obsession with copper kitchen accessories.

So.... this post is super random. It's not a recipe, or craft, or diy, or cleaning tip. I just wanted to share with you some of my new favorite things 🙂
I go through phases of how I want my home decor. Last year, I was all about roosters, and this year, I want everything copper.
I've been wanting a coffee press anyway, but when I saw this one at Marshall's, I had to get it. In fact, everything that I have picked up so far has come from either Marshall's or Ross (I love a good bargain.) But here are a few similar copper coffee presses that I found on Amazon.
I realized how much I love copper after always catching myself admiring copper items. Even during Downton Abbey, when I am usually very strict about no one talking so we don't miss anything, I would blurt out how pretty all of Mrs. Patmore's copper pots, pans, and bowls are.
Literally, for 3 years every time I would see Moscow Mule mugs in the store, I would consider buying them. But I almost never saw them for less than $10 a mug, so I would pass them up.
I was watching a YouTube video the other day about real value. They were basically talking about how you could really want something, but not spend the money on it if you feel it's a little too expensive. But, (and I'm totally guilty of this) you might spend $10 or $20 on junk from Dollar Tree just because each item is only a dollar. So, why not skip the junk you don't need and save up for something you really want instead?
So, that's what I've been doing. I want to fill my kitchen with pops of copper. Instead of buying stuff I don't need, I've been saving up to buy copper pieces a little bit at a time.
It's kinda splurging. I am getting these copper kitchen accessories for pretty good prices, since I can find them at Ross and Marshall's every now and then. Plus I love going shopping at Ross with my mom on Tuesdays. Did you know they have a senior citizens discount on Tuesdays? Well, now you know.
Again, super random post, but I felt like sharing this with you:) And if you happen to know of any other place that has affordable copper pieces, let me know!
Anything you've been obsessing about lately?

Those are beautiful pieces. I love copper. It's my favorite metal. I'm glad it's become popular recently so it's easier to find. And I definitely agree that spending more on something you love is way better than buying something just because it's cheap. Great post!
Thanks Rebecca!

Steel is strong, however has bad heat transfer. And while aluminium and copper have exceptional heat transfer, however are fairly soft metals that lose and flex shape with time as well as get charred quickly to have actually a blackened surface area that looks undesirable. Best Induction Cookware
