Welcome to day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas! Today, Bri from Parties With A Cause and Sarina from Joy in the Commonplace are joining me in sharing either Christmas countdowns or family traditions. I'm sharing with you a little bit of both with this diy Christmas music advent calendar.
Music has always been a big part of my life. From my own pre-school pageants and Christmas plays at church to concerts and well, just about every aspect of my life with my family, music and memories seem happily intertwined. The first Christmas I can remember was spent in Hawaii, and Mele Kalikimaka is still one of my favorite songs. I want to create similar happy memories for my little boys, so this year, I made a Christmas music advent calendar to count down the days until Christmas.

Using my Cricut Maker and Cricut EasyPress Mini, I made 25 little envelopes, numbered them with gold iron-on, and attached them to a piece of foam board that I covered with music note paper.

Tucked inside each envelope is a Christmas carol or popular Christmas song.

We can have fun each evening with a cup of cocoa or apple cider either singing our Christmas song or finding our favorite versions on YouTube.I made sure to include both traditional hymns and fun songs like Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman. Here are some suggestions of songs for your own Christmas music advent calendar:
- Silver Bells
- Frosty the Snowman
- The Little Drummer Boy
- The Twelve Days of Christmas
- The First Noel
- It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
- O Little Town of Bethlehem
- Hark the Herald
- It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas
- Winter Wonderland
- Santa Claus is Coming to Town
- Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
- Silent Night
- We Three Kings
- Still, Still. Still
- O Holy Night
- We Wish You A Merry Christmas
- Feliz Navidad
- Mele Kalikimaka
- Here Comes Santa Claus
- Joy to the World
- Good King Wenceslas
- Mary Rocked a Little Baby
- Gesu Bambino
- O Christmas Tree
- Jingle Bell Rock
- Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire
- Have a Holly Jolly Christmas
- Angels we Have Heard on High
- Go Tell it on the Mountain
As you deck your own halls with boughs of holly, I hope this list helps make your Christmas merry, bright and musical!!
