Welcome to the 13 days of Halloween ideas 2020!  Bri from Parties With A Cause and I have been sharing fun ways for you celebrate Halloween at home with your family this year.  Today we're both sharing ideas for Halloween activities for families.  I decided to transform a classic Halloween carnival game - the can toss game - so that my kiddos can play in our backyard.

Easy Halloween Activities for Families

I love this idea because making the game as well as playing it are great activities for the family to do together this Halloween.  Plus, you can totally save this idea for future Halloween carnival party games.

Here's everything you need to make this diy can toss game:

  • 10 empty cans in the same size
  • cardstock
  • glitter cardstock
  • scissors
  • cutting tool
  • hot glue gun
  • printable labels (see below to get these delivered to your inbox

These printable can toss game labels are free for my newsletter subscribers.  You can sign up below and have them delivered straight to your inbox.

I recommend printing these labels out on some white card stock.  I find that regular printer paper is too thin for my taste.

Cut the cardstock to the size of your cans to wrap all the way around and secure the ends with the hot glue.  Then cut the glitter cardstock to form bands to go around the very middle of the cans.  Cut out the printable labels and glue those over the glitter cardstock cans.

To play, place your cans in a pyramid with 4 cans on the bottom.  Then use a bean bag or a baseball and take turns trying to knock all of the cans down.  Make sure everyone stays safe, and doesn't walk behind the cans while playing.

Over on Parties With A Cause, Bri is sharing these fun Halloween Boo bags which also includes free printable.  I love this idea as a way to socialize with your neighbors without any face to face contact.
