I always set up a hot beverage station in my home during the winter.  My family and I love to enjoy a cup of cocoa during a family movie night, or when we are sitting around playing board games.  We also go through hot apple cider, coffee, and tea like crazy during the winter months.  Even though I'm perfectly happy to be cozy in my house snuggling with the kiddos, we actually do make it outside when it's chilly to go play.

I love how easy it is to pack up this hot chocolate bar to take on a winter adventure.  Maybe you'll go sledding, chop down a Christmas tree, or just go in your front yard to build a snowman.  This is also great for leaving on your porch on Christmas Eve if you are expecting carolers.

Isn't this hot cocoa sign adorable?  I designed and made it with my Cricut machine.  If you have one too, you can find this Cricut Design Space project here all ready to cut out.

On my hot chocolate bar you can see that includes whipped cream (a must for hot chocolate!!!) cinnamon, marshmallows, candy canes, chocolate twigs, and chocolate dipped shortbread cookies.  You know what would also be great?  These delicious pecan butterscotch cookies. Other hot chocolate toppings to consider could be nutmeg, sprinkles, and caramel sauce.  Go crazy - the possibilities are endless!
