I have a new favorite thing in life - a Thanksgiving tree a.k.a a thankful tree. As you may be aware, bloggers have to do everything ahead of the season, so there's time for you as a reader to gather ideas for your holiday celebrations.
So last year, I had my Christmas tree up in our dining room before Thanksgiving, although it wasn't decorated yet. As I was getting ready for our actual Thanksgiving dinner, I couldn't decide if I should move the tree out of the dining room or not. The night before Thanksgiving as I was setting my table, I kept looking over at the tree and wondering if it would fit in our laundry room for the next day.
Then I noticed all of the fall decorations I had left over after decorating my front porch and the dining table. I was curious how my fall garland would look wrapped around the Christmas tree. Pretty cute! Then I added in some scarecrows. Loved it! Then I added some fall themed ribbon bows. So much yes! Before I knew it it was a little over an hour later and I had a Thanksgiving tree with gorgeous ornaments in bronze, gold, and brown with little pops of green.
You can see how well the Thanksgiving tree went with my Thanksgiving table decorations.

As I mentioned earlier, this is last year's Thanksgiving tree, and I will most definitely be doing another one this year that I'm very excited to share with you. This one was thrown together last minute and I used what I already had on hand. This year, I actually have time to plan out my decor. Here are a few fall decor pieces I have my eye on:
I can't wait to decorate for Thanksgiving! We just got a new dining table that seats 12, so we'll be able to host a nice large celebration. I plan on lots of Thanksgiving table decorations including 2 centerpieces and fun place settings. Of course I'll be having a coordinating Thanksgiving tree. This year I plan to make leaf cutout ornaments with my Cricut Maker so guests can write what they are thankful for and hang the ornaments on the Thankful tree. I'll probably have it up by the end of this month and will make sure to get step by step progress pictures.
Although I LOVE Christmas, Thanksgiving is a holiday that I like to fully celebrate. No black Friday shopping for us. It's a complete day of family, food, and a little football.
