The time has come for me to get serious about losing my extra baby weight. I actually eat pretty healthy meals and enjoy moderate exercise. My downfall is the way I snack.
I have a 4 year old and a brand new baby, plus my husband is always working. I'm really busy, and sometimes I hardly even have time to take a shower. As I'm running out of the door or sitting working at my laptop, I'll grab whatever snack is convenient (which is usually cookies or a chocolate bar.)

When I take the time to do a little planning and prep work, my snacking habits contribute to my weight loss instead of hindering it. I like to use plastic containers to prepare snacks that I can grab straight from the fridge or my cabinet.
Here's what I'm reaching for instead of chips:
- baby carrots
- sliced red bell pepper
- grape tomatoes
- dried pineapple
- banana chips
- snacking cucumbers
- Weight Watcher's string cheese
I don't even have to do anything to prep the Weight Watcher's string cheese - just rip off a stick and go. My favorite flavor so far is the Jalapeno. It has red bell pepper and that great jalapeno flavor without being spicy.
