Spring is just around the corner, and I can already feel it in the air! Where I live, the days are getting warmer, and I cannot wait for the first signs of springtime blooms. There’s something so refreshing about this season—the gentle breeze, the pastel petals, and of course, the fresh, vibrant flavors that come with it. To gear up, I’m kicking off a Spring Latte Series, featuring light, floral, and fruity lattes that bring a touch of seasonal magic to your everyday coffee routine. And what better way to start than with a Strawberry Shortcake Latte—lusciously creamy with just the right touch of berry bliss!

How To Make a Strawberry Shortcake Latte at Home
I wish I had known how easy making coffee shop-style drinks at home was earlier in life. You don’t need a fancy espresso machine to whip up a delicious latte—just a few simple tools and a little know-how. I use a French coffee press to brew a rich, bold coffee base and an electric milk frother to create that perfect, silky foam. It’s an easy and satisfying way to make my favorite lattes at home, and while I still love treating myself to a coffee shop latte for the ambiance, making them myself means I can enjoy one every single day.
You can see how easy this strawberry shortcake latte recipe is in my latest YouTube short video.
Step 1. - coffee. This petite gold coffee press isn’t just stunning—it brews rich, extra-strong coffee that’s perfect for lattes like this Strawberry Shortcake Latte or for simply enjoying black. If you love the idea of elevating your coffee ritual with a little extra charm, you’ll want to add a pretty coffee press to your routine. You can find a few beautiful French coffee presses on Amazon here.

Pour the coffee into your mug.

Step 2. Add the syrups. To get this yummy bakery classic flavor, I used both a strawberry and cookie butter syrup from Monin. They also make a cupcake flavor that would be a great alternative.

Step 3. Froth the milk. I recently picked up an electric milk frother and steamer which has been a game changer. Not that heating milk on the stove and then using a handheld frother isn't easy too, but with this one, you can can pour the milk in, turn it on, and just walk away. It heats the milk to the perfect temperature while creating a creamy, dreamy froth for making a delicious latte at home.

Easy peasy, right? And this flavor combination is like a bite of fluffy shortcake melting in your mouth - creamy cookie butter vanilla-kissed milk swirled with rich sweet strawberry coffee. This strawberry shortcake latte makes me want to slip on a twirly dress and go skipping through a sun-drenched strawberry patch, collecting berries in a wicker basket like I’m in a cottagecore daydream.

And if you love this one, just wait until you see the rest of my Spring Latte Series! From the floral elegance of a honey lavender latte to the citrusy brightness of an orange blossom latte, I’ve got some delicious creations coming your way. Would you love to see iced versions of these recipes? Or maybe you have a fun latte flavor suggestion I should try next—let me know in the comments!
