Welcome to the Halloween Dinner Ideas day of the 13 days of Halloween ideas!  Bri from Parties With A Cause and I have been sharing fun Halloween recipes, craft, family activities, decorations and more to help you celebrate Halloween at home this year.   Today we both have some spooky Halloween food ideas that are perfect for whipping up on Halloween night!

Well, mine is more silly than spooky LOL.  Don't you love this silly monster sandwich? My kids sure enjoyed eating these monster sandwiches the other night.  I'm pretty sure we'll be making these all year long, not just for Halloween.

Isn't it funny how something so simple can be so delightful?  I can't decide what is my favorite part - the pickle tongue, the cheese teeth, or the olive eyeballs.

How to Make Silly Monster Sandwiches - Halloween Dinner Ideas

Yield: 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes


  • 1 brioche bun
  • 4 slices deli meat
  • 1 slice monster cheese
  • 1 slice dill pickle
  • 1 tbsp cranberry sauce
  • 2 stuffed olives
  • mustard and mayonnaise to taste (optional)


  1. Cut triangular wedges on the edge of the cheese slice to form teeth
  2. Open the bun and layer the meat, pickle slice, cheese, and the cranberry sauce before placing the top on bun
  3. Insert 2 toothpicks on top of the bun.
  4. Place an olive onto each toothpick.
