My younger brother, Joel and I used to love to stay up late to watch infomercials.  One of our favorites was to watch the Jack LeLanne's Power Juicer commercial.  Of course I had to buy one, and my family has been juicing ever since.

It's been awhile since I have pulled out my juicer.  I would like to get off to a healthy start for 2014, and my local grocery store was having an amazing sale on produce, so I figured it was time for my juicer to see some action.

These 4 juice recipes are some of my favorites.  The above mentioned grocery store sale had me so excited that I could easily afford to make all of them!

The following juice recipes all make roughly 8 ounces of juice.

This juice is still sweet because of the apple and the carrot and celery add a wonderful freshness.
This juice combines:
1 medium apple
1 stalk celery
2 medium carrots

This juice has a little kick to it because of the ginger.
This juice combines:
1 large orange
2 medium carrots
1 in cube of peeled ginger

This juice is perfect for when you are in a more tropical mood.
This juice combines:
1 large orange
1 large mango (skin removed)

This juice is not sweet like the other juices.  This one is perfect if you are a fan of V8, it's just like drinking a liquid salad.
This juice combines:
1 medium tomato
2 medium carrots
1/2 medium cucumber
2 small radishes
1 stalk of celery

It feels so nice to enjoy a fresh glass of juice.  I have been drinking way too much soda and coffee for the past couple months, so this is a welcomed change.  I'm hoping to replace those sugary drinks with fresh juice along with drinking more water.  Here's to a happy healthy new year!
