Isn't my little birdie Spring decor the cutest thing?
I just realized how much I like using birds in my decor.  I have a rooster theme going on in my kitchen and this little guy is in my downstairs bathroom. I really like to change my decor with the holidays.  And my downstairs bathroom is nice and small, so it's super easy to change things up.  The one consistent thing is this apothecary jar.  For Halloween, it had dark green, almost brown moss with a black crow inside.  For Christmas, I had buffalo snow and a porcelain cottage. But now that Spring is here and we're moving into Summer, I wanted something that I wouldn't have to change out for awhile.  Since I already had my jar, everything else for this decoration was very affordable.
I picked up the moss, birds, and raffia at Dollar Tree (I love that place!)  The nest came from Michael's, and since I used a coupon, it was less than $2.
I poured the moss in first.
Then I placed the nest inside.
Next came the bird.  I secured it to the nest using the wire that was attached to it.
Finally, I tied the raffia in a bow on top of the jar.
I seriously can't get over how cute I think this is.  I'll make sure to show you how my bird theme is going with all of the rooster stuff in my kitchen soon 🙂
