Hi Y'all!  Today I'm showing you how to make patriotic rosettes.  These rosettes were part of the decorations for the party I'll be sharing with you later on the week.  But I have several other tutorials to share with you before then.  Get ready for red, white, and blue everything!

Here is a super easy tutorial on how to make patriotic rosettes. These will be a perfect addition to your red, whote, and blue party decorations this summer.

Rosettes are one of my favorite decorations to make.  You may remember my DIY Christmas Rosettes from a last year.  It's amazing what you can do with only a few sheets of paper.  Of course you can easily make rosettes completely by hand, but I like to get a little fancy by using my Cricut Explore One™ to add some pizzazz to my rosettes.

Tutorial Time!

Here is a super easy tutorial on how to make patriotic rosettes. These will be a perfect addition to your red, whote, and blue party decorations this summer.

I like the extra added detail of the scalloped edges and the diamond cutout.  You can find the cutout file here and this design is available in the Cricut Access Standard plan.

The scoring stylus is one of my favorite things about the Cricut Explore One™.  Since my paper was scored, it was super easy to get nice crisp folds for the rosettes.

I used 6 sections of paper for each rosette - 3 blue and 3 red.  Use a glue stick to attack each section to the next. Once all 6 pieces are glued together, glue the 2 ends together to form a circle.

Once the circle is formed, push the rosette down in towards the center.  I like to cover up the center section, so I also cut out a circle with star for the center.

Switch over to a hot glue gun to attach the circle to the center of the rosette.

To finish up, flip the rosette over to attach a loop of ribbon with your glue gun for easy hanging.

To make this tutorial super easy to follow, I included a YouTube video for you.

The Final Result:

I absolutely love how these turned out and they added such a nice touch for our red, white, and blue patriotic party.

I can't wait to show you what else I made for our patriotic party, but in the meantime, check out this beautiful patriotic centerpiece from my friend Paula over at Frog Prince Paperie.

Until next time, happy easy entertaining!
