We have had laminate floors for a few years now.  After realizing how dirty carpets can get (no matter how much you vacuum or shampoo) we decided we only wanted hard floors.  And it's been wonderful not hauling out the vacuum cleaner or having to live with stains.  However, the laminate floors are hard to get that shiny new look and often look smudged.
We have spent way too much on store bought products that just didn't work.  I decided to search the  internet one day because I knew there had to be some way to get our laminate floors to look clean. And that's how I discovered my favorite diy cleaning solution. On the other hand, if you're preparing for maid cleaning service, there are a couple of things you should take note of which can be found online.
Dish soap, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, and fragrance oil
To get your laminate floors looking like new, all you need is dish soap, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, and water. The recipe: 1 cup water 1 cup vinegar 1cup alcohol 4-5 drops dish soap 2-3 drops fragrance oil (optional) Combine everything in a spray bottle and give it a little shake. First, make sure to sweep your laminate floors.  Then, grab your microfiber mop and get to work!  I like to clean a small 3ftx3ft section at a time.  Lightly spray the area and use the mop immediately to avoid streaks.  This may take a little elbow grease to really get a nice polish.  The vinegar and dish soap get all the grime up, while the alcohol makes the solution dry super fast.
A nice clean floor!
I was so happy with the results, that I decided to try the cleaner all around the house.  It worked great on mirrors, windows, counter tops, bath tubs, diluted as a tile floor cleaner, and it worked great on our stainless steel appliances!

Just like the laminate floors, the stainless steel appliances really need the microfiber to have a streak free shine.  This cleaner is just amazing.  We've replaced so many store bought cleaners in our household with this solution. This means less bottles cluttering up the place and we're saving a lot of money.  And I don't need to worry about my 2 year old getting into any chemicals under the sink!
