I love using my Cricut Maker to customize my parties.  I have the Cricut Access Standard plan which means that I can make projects from the 30,000+ images and 370+ fonts available.  Pretty awesome, right? So I go nuts using my Cricut Maker when I'm planning any kind of event.

For this New Year's Eve party I used my Cricut Maker to make a party banner, cupcake wrappers and toppers, party favors and photo props.

And it's all so easy to do!  If you already have a Cricut Maker then you know what I'm talking about.  All of these projects start in the Cricut Design Space then you have a completely custom party.

DIY New Year's Eve Party Decor Material List

These projects are all ready to go.  All you have to do is open them up and hit "Make It." : New Year's Eve Banner, Cupcakes and party favor, and Photo Props.

I have a full tutorial dedicated to just the photo props that you can find here.

For my cupcake toppers and the favor boxes, I used the writing option to add "2018" and "midnight kisses."

And then I cut out all of the other pieces for the banner, wrappers, toppers, and favor labels.

Then I assembled the pieces with some glue sticks.  The letters for the banner were delicate, so I find it helpful to use Cricut Tools Tweezers.

To finish the banner, thread a ribbon through the banner holes.

For the cupcake toppers, use hot glue to add a toothpick to the centers.

Once all of the Cricut projects are glued together, it's time to set up the rest of the party!

One thing that I knew I wanted to include in my party set up were chocolate "midnight kisses."  So, I use clear boxes and filled with them with decorative foil shred and chocolate kisses.  Then I put a ribbon around each box and attached the labels I made with double sided tape.

Cupcakes are a party standard for me.  Since we celebrate New Year's eve with the kids, I like to include treats that they love.   If you don't want your kids to stay up until midnight, take a tip from my brother's in-laws:  celebrate another time zone's ball drop.  We're on Mountain standard time, so counting down live with New York means the kiddos can be tucked into bed shortly after 10 p.m.

By the way, I was trying to get a cute picture of my little guy with his cupcake, but he licked the frosting in less than 5 seconds.

Don't the wrappers and toppers look great?   I frost my cupcakes in the wrappers.  Trust me -  it's so much easier than frosting the cupcakes and then trying the put them in the wrappers.  For New Year's Eve, these cupcakes got extra dressed up with gold and silver sprinkles.

Another kid friendly treat are pudding cups.

Okay, so those are really treats for me!  I love pudding.  And another treat for the grown ups on New Year's Eve is a fancy glass of champagne complete with rock candy stir sticks.

Here's the finished party banner.  I added the banner to a poster board that I covered in sparkly wrapping paper.
