Fireworks, good food, friends and family are the perfect recipe for an awesome 4th of July celebration. I love hosting parties at our house. Our backyard was designed for entertaining, and as you may be able to tell, I love party planning.
How to Plan Your 4th of July Party
I started off my party prep by making these Patriotic rosettes. I love using rosettes and other paper decorations for all of my parties. They're so easy to make and I think they look super festive. I used my Cricut Explore One™ to make these and you can see the full tutorial here.
I combined my diy rosettes with Dollar Tree decorations and red and white striped wrapping paper to make a backdrop for one of my buffet tables.
The tables were covered in blue plastic table cloths and I added red and white striped table skirts. I wanted lots of red white and blue for my serve ware and I also included these Patriotic Napkin Ring (also made with my Cricut Explore One™) wrapped utensils which I put together a few days before the party.
4th of July Food Ideas
On my first buffet table we had potato salad, pasta salads, sandwiches, and nachos. On the other buffet table, I had our hot dogs, hamburgers, corn, buns and toppings.
If you need a way to keep your burger topping cold, this chilled serving dish is the perfect solution.

This table also held the Bloody Mary bar compete with Bloody Mary infused vodka.
On the Bloody Mary Bar guests could customize their Bloody Mary with fresh lemon, lime, and celery, mini pickles, pepperoncinis, salt, seasoning salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce, and a variety of hot sauces.
We also had pink lemonade with fresh lemons and strawberries to garnish. By the way, I'm in love with this drink dispenser. It kept the lemonade cold without watering it down. You can pick one up like it here.
I wanted the kids to be plenty entertained, so I rented a bouncy house from EP Little Jumpers. The kids had so much fun jumping around for hours.
Speaking of kids, the morning of our party my little guy asked me if it was okay if he wore this shirt. I said of course, but I asked him why he picked this one. He said it was because he knew we were honoring the military and wanted to represent. I love when I get a glimpse into how thoughtful he can be!
Here's my hubby manning the grill. I had our 2 buffet tables opposite of each other, with the grill set up at the ends to form a "u" shape. All of the food was set up close together but with plenty of room for our guests to move around freely.
On the buffet tables in addition to paper plates, I included red food baskets and patriotic basket liners.
They were great for serving nachos...
and hot dogs.
4th of July Desserts
For dessert we had red white and blue cupcakes and marshmallow pops.
I'm pretty sure everyone had a good time.
I know I did, and I was so happy to celebrate with friends and family.

You did an amazing job! I love all the thought you put into everything!
The decor is so cute. That backyard is amazing. The red, blue, and white reminds me of the bridal shower I threw for my sister with the same theme.
Lovely ideas! I am so sad that I won’t be able to give them a try this year as I will be out of the country on July 4th.
So jealous because I am craving a hotdog right now!! This is def cookout goals I live in a city where there aren’t any backyards to bbq and this is goals if I ever move to a suburb. Thank you for sharing
Ps. can I have a cupcake lol
Looks like it was a great party, loved your use of the decorations.
Hosting parties is something I missed since I sold my house and transferred to a townhouse. Now I don’t have a big backyard anymore to have theme parties. Looking at your photos revealed so much how good are you at hosting and preparing parties. I wonder how I could improvise with only a small space available.
Wow this is an awesome 4th if July Party decor. You are very creative.:)
I love all the patriotic decorations. I may have to steal some ideas for our own 4th of July celebration. The food looks delicious too!
