It seems as though there is always a good excuse to skip making dinner and go pick up some takeout. One of my resolutions for this year is to not give into excuses and to recommit to making homemade meals.   I'm a big fan of quick and easy meal solutions. This Philly cheese steak pizza takes very little effort and is ready from start to finish in less than 15 minutes.

Of course a Philly cheese steak pizza needs a really delicious roast beef.  The Castle Wood Reserve® Angus Seasoned Roast Beef Top Round is the absolute best!  My husband and I both love sandwiches, but I use pre-packaged meats all sorts of ways, like on this pizza.  I'll also slice up some Castle Wood Reserve® meats for salads and to eat with cheese and crackers,  Sometimes I'll even take a piece of the Angus Seasoned Roast Beef to roll up and eat it by itself.  I was really craving some Philly cheese steak pizza and thought it would be great for dinner right after peewee football practice, but I needed to make a grocery store run.  Off to Walmart!  The Castle Wood Reserve® deli meats are up near the deli counter, not back with the other lunch meats.  All of the varieties look so yummy! The Smoked Virginia Ham is on my list for next week to make some chicken cordon bleu pasta.

I had just made a batch of homemade Alfredo Sauce, but I picked up everything else I would need for the Philly cheese steak pizza while I was at Walmart for the roast beef.  I purchased a ready made pizza crust, bell pepper, onion, and provolone cheese.

I spread some of the Alfredo sauce onto the pizza crust and topped it with the peppers, onions, roast beef and cheese.  I popped the pizza into a 375 degree oven and we had a delicious dinner ready in 10 minutes.  Just in case you don't believe me about how easy this Philly cheese steak pizza is, here's a how to video for you:

  1. After topping the perfect crust with a bit of alfredo sauce and my steak mixture, I sprinkled with provolone cheese and watched the magic happen in my oven as all the flavors melted together on this beautiful golden crust.
