Welcome to day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas inspiration blog hop! Bri from Parties With A Cause, Sarina from Joy in the Commonplace and I are all sharing Christmas shelf or fireplace mantel decorations with you.
This year may be my favorite for Christmas decorations so far.

I made this wreath and really wanted it to be lit just like my garland. No one wants to see an ugly cord hanging from their wreath though. To make my wreath light up, I went and got 3 strands of battery operated fairy lights from Dollar Tree. The battery packs are all hidden behind the big buffalo plaid bow so I could still have access to them to turn on and off. This is a beautiful and easy solution, wouldn't you agree?
If you saw my Halloween mantel decorations, then you know my trick for decorating this frame. I simply wrap the painting with a lightweight cloth or paper for a completely new look. For this background I chose a wrapping paper with music notes.
I love using lots of Christmas greenery and pops of traditional red. At the end of the 12 Days of Christmas, we all will be sharing our Christmas trees. I can't wait for you to see how I carried this look over into the Christmas tree, but how different it is!

Your mantel is beautiful!! Love all the colors!
The battery fairy lights in the wreath are so smart. The music sheet paper on the background is beautiful and I love how it ties in with your musical advent countdown. Such a pretty traditional color scheme.
