I'm so excited to be a part of this year's Cricut Ornament Exchange!  Some of the Cricut bloggers got together to do a secret santa ornament exchange.  We each made an ornament with our Cricut machines and secretly sent it out last week.  Today I'm sharing with you the Santa Baby Ornament I made for Shea of Not So Cli Shea.

One of Shea's favorite Christmas songs is Santa Baby - she has pretty good taste in Christmas music!  So I wanted to make her an ornament to remind her of the song.

To make this Santa Baby ornament, you will need a Cricut cutting machine along with a clear Christmas ornament, some adhesive foil, foil shred filler, ribbon, and hot glue.

To make the "Santa Baby" open Design Space and use a text box to write out the message.  Make sure to weld the letters together so that they have the spacing that you would like.

Pretty easy.  Then hit "make it" and select "adhesive foil" from the materials drop down list.

Place the vinyl onto your mat and cut it out with your Cricut machine.

Use a Cricut Bright Pad to weed the foil.  It's amazing how much the Bright Pad helps to see those little details - especially if you're in denial that your eye sight isn't what it used to be!

Then use transfer tape to apply the foil to the ornament so your text stays in place.

Once the foil is placed onto the ornament, stuff the top with the foil shred.

Replace the top of the ornament , and hot glue a ribbon bow to the metal.

Now your ornament is ready for your tree!

This ornament took maybe 5 minutes to make, but I love how it turned out.
