This was my total haul today and with the $3.50 handling fee, my entire purchase came to $27. I tried to get a little bit of everything in the photo, but it just wouldn't all fit 🙂 This purchase is a combination of a regular conventional basket with the addition of an Italian themed veggie pack.
For this week's conventional basket I paid $15. I received 2 pineapples, 2 avocados, 1 bag of grapes, 1 head of lettuce, 1 large bunch of kale, 1 package of blueberries, 2 zucchinis, 2 cucumbers, 8 bananas, 2 navel oranges,12 potatoes, and 7 tomatoes. If you can find that amount and variety of farm fresh produce for $15 at your grocery store, then I salute you!
In addition to the conventional basket, I also ordered the Italian themed veggie pack. For an additional $8.50 I received: 2 more zucchinis, 2 orange bell peppers, 1 yellow squash, 1 head of garlic, 1 yellow onion, 1 purple onion, 1 package of mushrooms, 1 bunch of parsley, 2 sprigs of rosemary, 2 sprigs of oregano, and 1 sprig of basil.
Each week that you participate in Bountiful Baskets, you need to purchase at least one conventional basket, which is always $15. There will also always be the $3.50 handling fee so the minimum total will be $18.50.
I think this value is amazing and the produce is really good quality. I am so happy that I have found a budget friendly way to have my family eat healthy.
