Seafood tacos are my weakness!  Fish tacos, lobster tacos, shrimp tacos.... all amazing!  But today I’m going to share with you a recipe for super simple shrimp tacos that are quick and easy to make for dinner for the family or for when you are entertaining friends.

Start by making a marinade for the shrimp tacos.  Combine olive oil, cumin, and Mild Pace Picante Sauce in a bowl.  Use a whisk or a fork to blend the ingredients together and then pour it over your raw shrimp.

Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes or up to 4 hours.  Pace Picante Sauce has a bold kick of flavor that infuses the shrimp with its smoothly blended tomatoes, chunks of savory onions, and hand-picked jalapenos. Along with the cumin, it just makes a really good marinade for shrimp tacos.

How to Cook Shrimp for Tacos

Since shrimp cooks so quickly, I suggest that you prepare your tortillas and toppings before cooking the shrimp.  After you’ve done that and the shrimp has finished marinating, heat some olive oil in a pan over high heat. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Toppings for Shrimp Tacos

As for toppings for shrimp tacos, I like to keep it simple.  Shrimp tacos with a little cilantro, cabbage slaw, white sauce, and a delicious chunky salsa is the way to go in my opinion.  I like to thinly slice the green cabbage with a mandoline and roughly chop the cilantro. Then, to make the white sauce for shrimp tacos, mix Greek yogurt with a little lime juice and some seasoning salt.

And for the chunky salsa?  Keep things easy and delicious with Pace Chunky Salsa!

I like to load the shrimp tacos up with Pace Chunky Salsa and include some on the side, just in case someone needs more.
