My husband and I both get super excited when we see the Caramel Apple Spice drink on the Starbuck's Menu.  Since we love it so much, I have been trying to replicate it for a couple weeks.  I don't know why I couldn't figure it out exactly, but I just couldn't make it happen.  So the other night, we went to Starbuck's and I just asked.


Starbuck's did not tell me exactly how they make the Caramel Apple Spice drink, but they told me enough.  So to make my favorite holiday drink you need:

Apple juice or apple cider
cinnamon
sugar
whipped cream
caramel sauce

1. Heat the apple juice or apple cider (I used Alpine Spiced Apple Cider drink mix.)
2. Add a dash of cinnamon and stir until dissolved.
3. Top with a whipped cream
4. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and sugar mixed together on top of whipped cream
5. Drizzle some caramel sauce on top

That's it!  So easy, and now I'm sitting here enjoying the cup of Caramel Apple Spice you see above.

  3. after a few tries, this is almost exactly how i started making them at home! i just didn't have the cinnamon sugar topping- thanks for the tip! =)
