Are you ready to try the best guacamole you've ever had?
I live in a border town (as in Mexico is on the other side of the freeway) and you can get really good guacamole pretty much every where you turn.  Even with the abundance of amazing guacamole to choose from around here, this guacamole still is gone within minutes of me serving it. It's amazing!
My best friend from college is the one who showed me how to make this guacamole.  The secret?  Cream cheese!  Most guacamole is made with sour cream, but what makes this one special is the cream cheese.  The mix of cream cheese with avocado along with tomato, purple onion, cilantro, lime juice,  and seasoning makes this guacamole like heaven on a chip.
Although you don't have to use chips.  You can dip carrots, cucumber slices, and other veggies.  Yum!
The Best Guacamole Ever


  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1 package of cream cheese
  • 1-2 tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 large purple onion diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • juice from 2-3 limes
  • 1 Tablespoon seasoning salt


  1. Combine the avocados and cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
  2. Use the back of a fork to mash together the avocados and mix well with the cream cheese.
  3. Stir in the lime juice and seasoning salt.
  4. Add the tomatoes, purple onion, and cilantro and stir to incorporate well.
  5. Serve with chips, veggies, or any way you please!

  1. I didn't realize you live so close to Mexico! I'd be heading over there quite a bit for their cuisine if I lived so close 🙂 This guacamole sounds yummy, definitely going to try the recipe!
