I'm a little obsessed with tablescapes. Have you seen my Pinterest board filled with amazing tablescape ideas? I love decorating with beautiful colors to create inviting settings for my friends and family. Celebrating togetherness with good food in a pretty atmosphere is a great way to remind your loved ones and your guests that they are special and appreciated. In a lot of ways, a beautiful tablescape has the same touching effect as a lovely greeting card.
This woodland Christmas tablescape has both whimsy and elegance. The old fashioned Christmas trees and the deer motif on the plates remind me of some favorite childhood books and movies. The sparkle from the crystal and the rose gold cake stands add a touch of glam. The traditional green in the garland and the red chair covers really say Christmas and pull in other elements from the room.
I like to make sure guests can easily see over my centerpieces, so I keep them fairly low and not too elaborate. I like to approach the holidays with a decorating plan in mind, and always with a message of love, welcome and comfort.
